BOD, SAC, AND PTO SEATS

Did you know that "Students with highly involved parents are 40% more likely to succeed in school and they typically miss fewer school days." SO GET INVOLVED! This spring, there is one BOD seat and two SAC seats open for parent election. Follow this link to find out more information about candidacy for the BOD and SAC. If you are interested in the MB PTO please go to their page for ways to volunteer/join.

CONFERENCES

Conferences are May 13 & 14th. Teachers will have sign-ups available either online or in front of their classroom, so be on the lookout. Please sign up to see and hear about all the growth and progress your child has made this year. Also, please be cognizant of your allotted time with your child's teacher.

PLAYGROUND HELP PLEASE

We love that our students gather on the playground before and after school. It means they like their school and the friends they have here. We do have a favor to ask though, if your child is on the playground eating a snack can you please do your best to make sure they don't leave food or trash on the playground. Not only does it attract bugs, but sometimes kids get hungry and the 5 second rule means nothing to them. :P We don't want any students eating off the ground, but we are really concerned about our children that have allergies. Thank you for your help with this matter.

FIELD DAY

Mark your calendars, we will be asking for volunteers to help with the event. More information and sign-ups to come.

LAST DAY OF SCHOOL AND AFTERCARE

On the last day of school there is no aftercare services. All students must be picked up by 3:00pm

TOYS AT SCHOOL

Over the past few weeks we have been seeing an increase in toys being brought to school. Toys from home create distractions and can create issues if they get broken or lost. Please make sure your child is not bringing toys to school.

GETTING TO SCHOOL ON TIME

PLEASE get your child to school on time and sign your child into school. We are a school NOT a daycare, and the school day starts at 8:30am. It is extremely disruptive to the other students and the teacher when students continually roll in late to class. Your child also misses the morning work that is important to the fine motor and cognitive education. As your children get older, they will have to be in their seats by 8:05am, so set them up for success with a good, consistent morning routine.

FROM THE PTO: STOCK THE FRIDGE

The PTO does a wonderful job of spoiling the teachers.  One of the things they do is accept donations of snacks for the teachers so they can keep up with children throughout the day. They have asked me to share the sign-up; therefore, if you would like to donate here is the link to sign up to bring certain items STOCK THE FRIDGE SIGN-UP - MAY. There will be a new sign-up for each month.  If you choose to donate, please bring the items to the KindiePrep front office to drop off. Finally, please know how greatly appreciated these donations are to the teachers and staff. A kick of caffeine or a bag of Doritos can go a long way to keep the energy level up.

The PTO also plans a ton of fun events for families. Hopefully, you are receiving their newsletter, but if not you can visit their webpage.  PTO Motsenbocker

REMINDERS

KINDIEPREP HOURS

KindiePrep school day hours are from 8:30am - 3:00pm. It is important for your child to be at school on time. Students arriving at school on time have the advantage of settling in, preparing their class materials, and focusing their minds on the day to come. Being late can also cause children to miss important information for the day. The doors to KindiePrep open at 8:15am giving families 15 minutes to get their student signed and settled in for the day. In the afternoon families have from 3:00pm to 3:15pm to pick up their children, unless they are signed up for extra-care. If children are not picked up by 3:15pm they will be put in extra-care and you will be charged $18.00 for their care. We will also call to inquire about your pick up plan. When picking up remember - NO PARKING IN VIP SPOTS OR ALONG THE FRONT OF THE BUILDING AFTER 3:15PM. If you are going to be in the KindiePrep building after 3:15pm you need to park in the parking lot. Thank you!

SIGNING CHILDREN IN AND OUT

You must sign your student in at drop-off and out at pick-up! This is a super important for many reasons. This is how we find out if your child does or does not need hot lunch each day. The state also requires that we maintain attendance records. Most importantly, it's for safety! We need to know who is in attendance so if something happens we know exactly who is here, where to find them and who to contact

REMEMBER – If carpool is actively moving when you arrive you must go through carpool.  You cannot skip or go around carpool - EVER!
