September Newsletter
Hello Wonderful Families,
I hope you are going to do something fun with the long Labor Day Weekend! Your children are doing wonderful. We are starting to get into a good routine. The children seem to be enjoying themselves and learning the daily schedule. I would like to let you know that your child may bring a small stuffy to have at rest time. Please just make sure it’s SMALL, if they become too big then I will not be able to allow them in the class.
Here is what is happening in September.
Themes:
Our themes for this month are All About Me, Family and Friends and 5 senses
Literacy:
The Letter sounds we will be focusing on for September are letters M, A, T and D. We will spend one week on each sound.
Math:
We will start with graphing and sorting, using shapes, cubes and colors. Then we will move onto identifying and describing 3D shapes.
Family Pictures
Starting next week we will be talking about our families and all about me. Please send a photo of your child as a baby and a family picture that we can keep up all year long. If it's easier you can send it to me through email and I can print them out. Please send them by Tuesday September 3rd.
Important Dates:
Sep. 1- No school
Sep. 19- Dress of Choice
Sep. 26 – No School (teacher work day)
Thank you so much!
