Happy Spring KP Families,

I say it often, however, I cannot believe how quickly this year has gone.  There are only 30-something days of school left.  As bittersweet as it is to be in the last 6 weeks of the school year, it is exciting to see the amount of growth that your child has made and to be a part of their lives. I would like to share some additional information regarding upcoming activities and events.

District Lockdown:

The district lockdown has been rescheduled to this Friday at 9:30am.  Please make sure to have your child at school on time.  During lockdown practice, we are unable to open doors for children arriving late. 

Spring Mixer:

Our Spring Gala promises to be an evening filled with elegance, entertainment, and community spirit. It's the perfect opportunity to come together with friends, family, and fellow supporters to celebrate our shared commitment to American Academy Lincoln Meadows. Ticket sales have ended, however, please make sure to visit the PTO website for more information.                                                                  

Harlem Wizards Game:

The Harlem Wizards are coming to town, and our entire American Academy community is invited to join the fun. From KindiePrep to 8th grade, all students, families, friends and neighbors are invited! You won't want to miss this school-wide fundraising event, where the Wizards will take on your beloved American Academy teachers and staff.

KP-K Transition Meeting:

Mark your calendars now. What will kindergarten look like for my child for the 2024-2025 school year?  Join us for the KP-K transition meeting on May 1^st at Lincoln Meadows and May 2^nd at Castle Pines.  Look for an informational email will be sent out by the K-8 principals in the next couple of weeks. 

Conferences:

KP Conferences will be on May 8^th and 9^th.  Please use the following sign ups to choose a time to meet with your child’s teacher.  Unfortunately, these are the only times available for this week.  If you would like to meet with your child’s teacher outside of these times, please email the teacher directly.  Teachers will be happy to set a date to meet with you before school at 7:15am.  Thank you.

Field Day:

KP Field Day will be on May 17^th from 9:00-10:00am and we need YOU.  Please consider helping us at one of our super fun activities. A sign-up genius will be coming out soon.

Summer Birthday Bash:

We can’t wait to celebrate all of our student’s summer birthdays with a special crown and birthday song.   Children are welcome to bring in a goody bag or small trinket to share with their classmates, however, due to allergies, no food items please.  T/Th children will celebrate on May 20^th and M/W/F & 5 full-day will celebrate on May 21^st.
